Rewards System

Roaster rewards are performance-based, transparent, and calculated per roast, not per user.
Each roast competes independently based on its performance and market rules.
Submitting multiple roasts does not guarantee higher rewards.

How Rewards Are Calculated

Reward calculation depends on the type of Roast Market.

Brand-Led Roast Markets

At the end of a Brand-Led Roast Market:
  • Roast Scores are frozen at the deadline
  • Eligible roasts are ranked by final Roast Score
  • Roasts are grouped into performance tiers
  • Rewards are distributed proportionally within each tier
This is a fixed-outcome market.Once the market ends, no new engagement affects rewards.

Community-Led Roast Markets

Community-Led Roast Markets behave differently.
  • Roast Scores are evaluated dynamically
  • Rewards are tied to ongoing market activity and may not have a fixed end state
  • Only roasts within a user’s reward-eligible roast cap are considered
  • Earnings depend on actual value generated, not participation alone

Performance Tiers

Performance tiers are universal across all Roast Markets.
Every eligible roast is ranked by Roast Score and placed into a performance tier. The tier determines how rewards are split

  • Top performers are meaningfully rewarded
  • Mid-tier creators remain incentivized
  • Broad participation still earns value

What Roast Score Already Includes

You don’t need to optimize for multiple systems. Roast Score already accounts for:
  • Humor quality (via the AI Roast Engine)
  • Organic engagement on X:
  • quote tweets
  • retweets
  • comments
  • likes
  • Timing and decay
  • Engagement diversity
If your roast is funny and people react to it, the score reflects that.

Early vs Late Advantage

  • Early roasts benefit from more time to accumulate engagement.
  • Late roasts can still outperform if they generate stronger, faster traction.
  • Time decay prevents early low-quality posts from camping the leaderboard.
Quality always beats timing in the long run.

Finalization and Claims

When the market ends:
  • Scoring is locked
  • Tiers are finalized
  • Rewards are calculated automatically
For the initial few Roast Markets, a 1-hour buffer period is applied after the deadline:
  • This allows a final integrity review
  • Ensures fair and accurate distribution
After finalization, rewards become instantly claimable on the platform.
